It has an extremely low climate footprint

Ciona is a small animal that grows naturally in the sea and provides us with animal proteins and other important nutrients. Cultivating Ciona requires neither feed, chemicals, fresh water, nor land areas, which gives Purply an extremely low climate footprint of only 0.22 kg CO₂-eq/kg.
